Our journey began on the ground, literally. Founder Chris Veerhuis started his career as a location manager, a role that gave him an unparalleled understanding of production logistics and the incredible landscapes Western Australia has to offer. He cut his teeth on major productions like Nine Perfect Strangers and Red Dog, learning the business from the inside out. This hands-on experience taught him that a great story is built on a solid, practical foundation.
The Blacklist – Warner Bros Initiative.
This 2018/2019 partnership with two of the most respected names in entertainment—the industry-leading platform The Black List and the legendary studio Warner Bros.—allowed us to create a unique and powerful opportunity. It underscores our belief that great stories can come from anywhere, and we’re incredibly proud to have played a part in helping these writers take their first major steps into the professional world.

Chris’s commitment to the Australian film industry goes beyond his own projects. During his time as Head of Production at Screenwest, he helped develop key initiatives that fostered local talent and brought new stories to life.
